Loan morpheme is a special morpheme group in the modern Chinese morpheme system .It not only has the common morpheme characteristics, more importantly has its unique characteristics. In view of the present situation which is insufficient to the loan morpheme, we select the loan morpheme as the analysis object and try to do some further researches. This paper is based on the field of modern Chinese, trying to make some researches on loan morpheme, to define its concept, and to describe its existence forms, determination and styles from a static angle. What's more, this paper lays stresses on the researches of their development and integration with Chinese morphemes after they entered the Chinese morpheme system, as well as emphasizes their influences on the Chinese glossary and morpheme system from a dynamic angle.This paper mainly adopts following two research techniques: the combination of static and dynamic state; the combination of macrocosmic and microcosmic state.This paper includes four chapters:Chapter 1: The definition of loan morpheme in modern Chinese. We believe that, the loan morpheme is a kind of combination of pronunciation and meaning, whose structure has been fixed. And it is the smallest unit from foreign language which could be used independently. Based on this concept, we analyze the range, determination and existence forms of the loan morpheme.Chapter 2: The classification and characteristics of loan morphemes in modern Chinese. Loan morphemes can be classified from different angles according to different standards. We classify loan morphemes in modern Chinese according to the number of syllables, the function of language, the form of writing and so on. And we also make some researches on the "meaning of loan morpheme", which is generated by the translation of foreign language to Chinese inherent morpheme. Based on this concept, we sum up the characteristics of the loan morpheme.Chapter 3: The development and the integration of loan morpheme. Although the morpheme system is the basic layer of language, it is not invariable.
