The preposition is the extremely important functional word in the analytical language , is part of speech which a close, may be enumerated. The grammar development leads preposition own development inevitably, the preposition has equally itself intrinsic law of development as Chinese other parts of speech. It appears the different development appearance when different history representative. "Jin Ping Mei" has the extremely high language materials value, is the important literatural language materials which the people of our time studies language appearance from the end of the Ming dynasty to Qing Dynasty initial period. This article analysises and researches the preposition in "Jin Ping Mei" from different perspectives and different stratification ,based on the exhausting inspection of the preposition in "Jin Ping Mei". At the same time ,we comprehensively use the methods of synchronic description and diachronic comparison, of quantitative analysis and of qualitative analysis .we comprehensively compare the language facts of ancient Chinese ,contemporary Chinese dialects, contemporary Chinese commmon speech. Thus outlines the preposition in "Jin Ping Mei" as well as the modern Chinese last stage development appearance.This article besides the foreword, altogether includes five chapters. The foreword mainly introduces this research present situation, the research technique, the analysis style and some other questions related with this article. The first chapter-Introduction mainly narrated the preposition research condition, about the preposition grammaticalization, the preposition appraisal standard, the preposition classification and so on. The second chapter carefully discribes the preposition of "Jin Ping Mei". First the preposition in "Jin Ping Mei" is divided into the Monosyllable note preposition and the Duplicate syllable preposition. The Monosyllable tone preposition according to its semantic role, is carried on the quantitative analysis and the qualitative analysis in turn to 5 big kinds of 61 Monosyllable tone prepositions. In the description process, from Chinese history angle we expounded the grammaticalization degree of the preposition in "Jin Ping Mei" .we conclude the preposition of region characteristics and the time characteristics in "Jin Ping Mei" in the method of comparison the language facts of ancient Chinese , contemporary Chinese dialects, contemporary Chinese commmon speech. The duplicate syllable prepositions are classified and analysed according to its constitution way to 34 duplicate syllable prepositions, then summarizes the characteristics of the duplicate syllable preposition in "Jin Ping Mei" through the methods of synchronic description and diachronic comparison. The third chapter analyzes the characteristics of "Jin Ping Mei" the preposition ,including phrase internal structure, exterior function, the syntax distribution, the antithetical couplet -like choice, the function of language use, the preposition appearance and disappearance and so on ,from the angles which are the syntax, the language uses. In the analysis process, we has utilized and profited from the cognition linguistics, the function linguistics,Yuan the theory, and other modern linguistical theories and methods. The fourth chapter mainly diachronically inspects the preposition in "Jin Ping Mei"from angles of semantics, morphology, syntax, summarizes the law of preposition development. The fifth chapter is the conclusion,we think the preposition in"Jin Ping Mei" both has the modern Chinese characteristics, and hastens gradually with contemporary Chinese common speech.
