In the history of modern poetry of China, the poetess of Chen Jingrong is definitely a unique existence. Being the important poetess in Nine-Leaves School of poetry as well as an excellent translator and prose writer, Chen Jingrong sticks to her own artistic ideal and view of life, attaches importance to the construction of image, and enriches the meaning of poetry. In recent years, more and more researchers pay attention to Chen Jingrong and her poetry creation. This thesis tries to regard images as the starting point to study Chen ]ingrong, and reappear the unordinary thought experiences of the poetess.This thesis would discuss the images of Chen Jingrong's poetry from the following three aspects. In the first part, the thesis discusses the characteristics of Chen Jingrong's poems from the four aspects: lives, the multi-meaning, combinatorial beauty and draw beauty of the images, the images of Chen Jingrong's poem were chosen from the life and accordingly reflect the poetess' experience of life and the spirit she pursued all her life, which leads people to fight for freedom and ideal. Chen Jingrong use the symbolism technique to create the obscurity and multi-meaning of the images which were identical with the mental condition of that generations which were at a loss, place the mind on the image as well. The sense of color make the poetess paint a quietly and elegant picture in her poetry, which contribute to another character of the aesthetic pursuit of her poems. In the second part, from the angle of tradition and modern times as well as the angle of female writing styles, the paper makes a concrete analysis of the content of Chen Jingrong's poetry. It exists the distinctive similarities between Chen Jingrong's images and the traditional poetry of ancient China, some poems have accepted obviously the inspiration from the modernism poetry of western. The choice of various of images shows the unique style of temper force with mercy, which was different from the traditional female poetry. In the third part, the thesis makes a comparison between the images of poetry between Chen Jingrong and Zheng Min which gives prominence to the characteristics of lyric poetry of Chen Jingrong.
