It seems that there is a distinct relationship between poem and history, but in thousands of years, many people have admitted poem as history, holded romance as reality. At every turn,they used history to confirm literature. Nearly, literature attaches itself to history. This is disbennifit to the evolution of history and literature. In the foundation of reading a great deal of historiography and letter works, Mr qian zhongshu use annals materialism to explain his view of poem and history . The"poem"in this paper not only means poesy, but also means every letter which is makeup.There are three segments in this essay.The first segment mostly seeing about the dispute of poem and history in the old times . Poem and history has common headwaters. In remote antiquity , it was different to departed poem from history . In pre-Chinperiod , the flush of disjunct of poem and history appeared. In Han empire, literature had been in the shade of Confucian. In the study of Confucian , literature was in coherence with history . Literature had confused itself with history again .In Wei and Jin empire , the monopolization of confusion had been broken down . Literature had its relatively self-governed status . But literature had also been in the shadow of historiography . In latter Tang , Meng qi put forwarded his theory of"relationship of literature and history".His theory had been accepted in Song empire . They had tracked down the nature of poem in succession . In Ming empire , Yang shen ,Wang fuzi criticized"the relationship between literature and history". From the end of Ming empire to the beginning of Qing ,there had been a wide of theory of"the relationship between literature and history". In Qing , the method of recognized literature as history had its dominant status , Mr Wang guowei used this way too.The second segment researches the way of Mr qian zhongshu in this issue . Mr qian refute this viewpoint ,he put forwards the distinction of literature and history . Literature can be romantic , but history must be the fact . He put frondose letter for example , put forwarding that you can not consider literature as the truth . Though it is very different in the two things , there are some common things . Mr Qian‵s theory is very important in literature criticism .It corrects the abuse in society criticism ,put the emphases in literature .The third segment reviews the issue in reality . Mr Qian and Mr Chen yinque are the"Dragon in mass",Mr Qian criticize the method of research in Mr Chen .As a litterateur, Mr Qian argues against the theory ,but Mr Chen thinks that one may validate the other .But nowadays,few people could make sure of the relationship . It distorts history and literature, make chaos in conception .So, researching Mr Qian‵s theory is important to correct the bad phenomenon .In the end , there has a brief summary of the whole theory .
