Opera "mourning" Tragic Figure Zijun Image Building, And Singing Analysis

In October of same year, this opera was firstly played by Chinese Opera and Dance Drama Theater. The staging of this opera made a great impact in the China music industry, as a result of successfully visualizing the roles of young generation who were perplexed and searching in 1920's decades which Lu Xun had wrote in his story. With great and immortal art value, the opera has become one focus to lots of singers and music researchers.Opera "Regret for the Past" is great because it combines the literature connotation of Lun Xun and music talent of Shi Guangnan. For the respect to Lun Xun as a great literature and reasonable expansion of its topic, In Chaper One author mainly analysis the background knowledge of the classic literature work and did some studying and annotation to the original story. The original story "Regret for the Past" is the real reflection of Lu Xun's hesitated and perplexed mind, after the finishing of revolutionary wave by"May 4th"movement. In this story, Lu Xun gave up his usual style, cooling and running deep. He wrote the whole story like a poem, full of circumbendibus words.Opera "Regret for the Past" followed the dignified, tragedy style of original lyric, pay attention to the psychological portrait of characters, and put love, thinking of life into the story, to maximize the performance of the music to express roles'inner emotion. It is worth mentioning that, there's much difference on role Lu xun's Character in opera and in original story. Due to restrictions on the opera, the original story was in a lot of amendments, the plot has been watered down to the limit, and the opera put more focus om the inner world of the people portrait. Regarding the creation of this opera, Shi Guangnan said: "The opera shall maximize the function of music to express emotion, this is the point which opera differ with forms of drama. Compare with drama and movie, story description is not the strong point opera. Opera doesn't need a complicated plot but can show the much changing of character's emotion and provide enough space to let people express the inside feeling. This is also what had been performed well in opera, "Regret for the Past" In this opera, Shi Guangnan created lots of classic arias which have been substantial to now, known as the vocal teaching and vocal music in today's concert repertoire, in this article the author detail analysis, research and combined the story of one of the play soprano singing style to do a summary and concluding discussion.Although we often read introduction about this opera and singing reminding in media like newspaper, magazine, and website, we rarely see specific studying about the role character, singing style in this opera, and there's no studying in system about the creation style, art style and singing style about this opera, even lots of audience have erroe about the understanding about role Zi Jun. From the sight of singer, to sing a scene of this opera, not only need to know plot, but more important is to analyze plot and understand roles and character to create a role in opera correctly. For the love to this opera, regarding the studying to the role Zi Jun, with reference to the former researcher's work, this article make a general analyze about the music structure, creation style and the understanding of soprano aria.This article is divided to four chapters, with totally about 33,000 words.Chapter I: The first part analyze the novel "Shangshi" creative background, the story outline, writing style and the intrinsic aspects of implication. The second part briefly introduces of the opera "Regret for the Past" with the inherent drama of thought and the structure of the music.Chapter II: Introduces the creative features of Shi Guangnan, opera "Shangshi" music style, as well as the opera of the significance to Chinese opera.Chapter III: From the musical structure and performance aspect two parts, to analyze "touch of sun", "bleak wind," "Unfortunately in life," three arias detailed, do a comprehensive research.Chapter IV: From four aspects, to analysis, summary and summing up the concert style of the soprano singing opera.Conclusion part of the arctic briefly summarizes the main arguments, and indicates the practical value of the thesis.
