Russian Translation Of The Movie Research

Nowadays, more and more foreign films, especially Russian films flock into China. To make most audiences easily appreciate the films, translating Russian films becomes an urgent task. However, translating Russian film dialogues is a newly-rising research field, it is far from being satisfactory. In theory, translation of Russian film dialogues has received little scholarly attention. In practice, it is yet to be improved.The paper will Study on Chinese translation of Russian films'dialogues aims to provide translators with references. The paper firstly overviews the development of Russian films: introducing the origin of Russian films, the development of Soviet films, actualities of cotemporary Russian films and the developing history of Russian dubbed films in China. Secondly, language characteristics and types of Russian films'dialogues are summarized; translation criteria are brought forward in this paper. On the study of translation methods of Russian films'dialogues, basic translation methods of dialogues are put forward. Common translation methods for dubbing and caption translation. At last, some difficulties in translating Russian films'dialogues are solved: how to deal with the culture differences between China and Russia; how does translators grasp the languages of different kinds of people in Russian films; how to solve those that cannot be translated in translating Russian films'dialogues, and corresponding measures for this problem are advanced.
