| In this paper, in contrast to previous study for directional verb and child acquisition of directional verb, we have a case study of child acquisition of directional verb during her 12 months to the 42 months period. The article is divided into five parts. The first chapter, "Introduction", is an overview of the current academic study of directional verb and Chinese child acquisition of directional verb.In Chapter II, from the time sequence of acquisition for Chinese child, we corpus children language, and tend to sort out the acquisition timing of all the verbs. We compare this acquisition timing to the study of Kong. Then we find the two are the same in the General trend, but there are many different details. The study found that child directional verb acquisition concentrated in before her 30 months. During her 18 months to 30 months is a peak of her acquisition. During this time, almost all directional verbs have emerged. In Chapter III, we count the data of directional verb in child's language from the point of the output frequency. We find that the output frequency of simple directional verb is much higher than that of compound verb.In Chapter IV, we discuss the semantic acquisition of child. It can be said that the semantic acquisition of child is very rapidly and perfectly. There are advantages in the number, but disadvantages in the types. In addition, we research how the directional verbs match with the object. We collect much data about the above aspects and do research on these data. Furthermore, based on our data and research, we confirm that the usage-based theory is reasonable. |
