Before The War. On The Chinese Film Industry's Star System Rheology

Star system is a economic phenomenon, and also a very important part of film industry. The appearance of star system was rigidly relate with the escalation of film industry, which was also the foundation and driving force of its development. So in this thesis, I will introduce the system theory as a methodology to discuss the development of star system at the film industry perspective, which had profoundly influenced by the gradual process of film industry evolution from free competition to monopolistic competitionEarly Chinese film industry was generally experienced three historical phases, which was film workshop, the formation of the complete industrial structure and the formation of monopolistic competition pattern. Following the formation of complete industrial structure, file star system was gradually established, and further formed to its mature production mechanism depended on the basic model of film industry. The emergence of monopolistic competition triggered further adjustment of the industrial structure which guided the operation of the star system pattern simultaneously.Further development of star system in today's market environment will be brought out of the film industry independently, which will be a independent star industry benefits from nurturing stars. At the conclusion part of this thesis, I will focus on the formation of star industry system model and its operation rules.
