| The aim of the thesis is to throw light on the characteristics of Ninghao` movies, which appeared in a period when the post-modern culture trend prevailed in china. After getting a great success in box office, why could Ninghao`s movies get the hearts of spectators, and the approval from most media and become a black horse in Chinese business movies market? The author intends to show readers a really fascinating artistic charm which is a perfect fusion of the two elements:the post modern film style and the Chinese local culture, which are embodied in Ning hao movies. In addition to having the post modern film style which is deeply loved by spectators, Ninghao`s movies overthrow the traditional aesthetics views and create a wholly new aesthetics criterion. Combining business factors and art elements, ninghao movies fully satisfy most spectators, who are eager to get a new visual hit. Meanwhile, his movies embody a trend that Chinese movie will be typed in the future.The thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, the author emphasizes on discussing Ninghao and the growth experiences of his film works; besides, the author makes a full description of the course of development of his post modern film style and also analyzes the cultural connotations and the artistic features of ninhao`s movies.
