Technology is changing rapidly in twenty-first Century, especially the emergence of the Internet, it has brought great changes in the production of human society, lifestyles, ways of thinking and social structure. As the new darling of the Internet, Micro-blog makes people’s eyes light up with delight; it has an impact not only on micro-blog economy and micro-blog culture but also on the political life. So what is the micro-blog political participation? What are the advantages and disadvantages of citizen political participation by micro-blog? What countermeasures to solve these problems are? These will focus in this paper is to explore the key.Firstly, this paper provides a solid theoretical foundation for the research of micro-blog political participation. We make a briefly discusses about the micro-blog development as well as the concept, characteristics, subject and manifestation of micro-blog political participation. Then we analyze the effect of micro-blog political participation. This paper points out that the micro-blog political participation has played a great role in riching the form of citizen politics participation, promoting the government decision-making, improving the supervision of public power and maintaining political stability. The article also pointed out that as a double-edged sword, there are still irrational, imbalance, inequality, invalidity and other issues in the micro-blog political participation. Finally, in view of the above problems, this paper puts forward the countermeasures to solve the effective from four aspects of government, citizens, legal and moral. We hope to guide and nurture a healthy and rational political participation micro blogging environment and we think the micro-blog political participation has important reference significance for socialist democratic and political construction in china.
