The aim of this research is to highlight the active role of Morocco in promoting South-South cooperation in Africa as a new emerging actor.Throughout its history,Morocco has continuously stressed the importance of its relationship and the sense of belonging with the African continent.I argue that Africa must stand up and position itself as a new growth axis for the rest of the world. As a promising continent with important economic, social, and political issues despite the richness of its natural resources, the blame on colonialism and the historical dependence on western powers should be overcome in the light of an efficient SSC.In this regard,Morocco has taken an active role in establishing itself as a geopolitical player on the continent. It is necessary, however, for African countries to collaborate and assist one another in order for change to be launched from the inside. The research examines the evolution of SSC in Africa and the implications of the role in Morocco as a new actor in addition to the engagement of China as a traditional actor in Africa in terms of trade and FDI.It is important to stress that the purpose of both case studies is to identify the different patterns in SSC to identify the trends and the required measures within an inclusive strategy. This research concludes that a robust foundation is required for the continent’s promising development in the face of worldwide challenges. To achieve its full potential, the future of SSC should be examined in a new light of a changing global environment. For this, strategies aimed at boosting the country’s international standing would need to be coordinated across various levels:international, regional and national. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the role of Morocco in the South-South cooperation in Africa. This investigation looks both at how Morocco conceptualizes SSC in its foreign policy and how the Moroccan approach is different from other models of NSC and SSC.
