On The Election Of Villagers' Committee From The Perspective Of Political Culture

The 18 th National Congress report of Chinese Communist Party pointed out that "the People’s Democracy is the vivid flag that our Party always holds,which is the life of socialism. Developing socialist democratic politics is the unswerving goal of our Party. That people are the masters is the essence and the heart of socialist democratic politics. " This argument indicates a specific direction for the development and construction of grassroots democracy in China. The democratic election is the core, because democratic election of village committee is the basis and prerequisite for villagers’ autonomy, it is directly related to the entire village cohesion, and even affects the healthy development of the villagers’ autonomy. Village democratic election is an extremely complicated systematic project, not only to the economic, institutional factors, however, traced, deeper reason than the political cultural factors that affect the villagers’ political psychology, electoral attitudes and behavior.The paper consists of five parts. The first part is about the introduction, which briefly introduces the origin and significance of the topic, and summarizes the current research situation of this topic. In the second part, the paper defines and explains the core concepts of this thesis. The third part is the panoramic description of democratic election and review of A Village of the eleventh village election, it clearly puts forward the issues of democratic elections of village committee, regular election of village is affected by the serious interference of the clan, family, factions and forces; bribery phenomenon intensifies; "capable", "rich" village governance is revealed gradually;which fully exposes the lack of culture of village elections and good voting habits. The fourth part is about awkward difficulties of the village committee democratic election, to analyze every aspect from the political culture. That is, from political cognition, political attitude, political emotion, political belief and political values, to get the basic situation and the basic conclusion through the questionnaire survey of the four elements. The fifth part is the basic conclusion by the analysis of the various political and cultural elements and goes on discussing. The author tries to make some researches on the path choice of developing and perfecting the villager autonomy.
