Weifang City Land Production Potential And Population Carrying Capacity Study

At present, our country is carrying the maximum population with the most rigorous resources conditions in history. The issue on the land resources population carrying capacity was paid close attention to. The author uses Weifang city as example and traces out the researches methods about the land resources population carrying capacity of the area in which dry farming and irrigation farming exist together. Firstly, the present conditions of landuse and calculates potential productivity for different crops on different kinds of land have been analysed in the paper.Secondly, on the basis of predicting the consumption level and population conditions, The population carrying capacity in the ture have been estimated. Finally, Some reasonable countermeasures and measures of execution to dig out potential productivity and promote population carrying capacity have been proposed in the paper. This paper consists of four parts. in the first part, the present conditions of landuse and the problems which exist in the process of landuse have been analysed. By analysing the conditions of social economy and the natural conditions, the favorable and unfavorable situation in the landuse and landexploition has been explained. By analysing the present conditions and problems,in this part the fruit that the city gained and the lessons that the city should summarize have been represented. This part emphasises the unreasonability of landuse and the contradiction between the human and the land have been emphasised. The second part is the researches of land resources potential capacity. The calculation of land potential capacity is the basis of the research of land population supporting capacity. In this part, the writer estimates the photosynthesis, light-temperature, light- temperature-water, land potential productivity step by step, then analyses the difference between actual productivity and natural productivity in the future. By calculating and analysing, we can see the land potential capacity of this city is much huge, but the actual productivity has only achieved the middle level, because of the unreasonability in natural resources?use and disposition. The third part is the researches of the land population carrying capacity in Weifang city. Firstly, the actural land population capacity has been analysed and represented to be reasonable. Secondly, the land population carrying capacity under some certain conditions has been estimated. Finaly, the relationship between the human and the land has been analysed and appraised. In the last part, the writer advices some reasonable countermeasures and measures of execution on landuse and relieving the condition between the human and the land resources:Contrling the increasing in population; Protecting the cultivated fields; Promoting the efficialy of landuse and comprehensive benefit; Increasing the material investment on agriculture; Founding resources-saving agriculture.
