As the biggest ecosystem on the land, the function of the forest is very important to the subsistence and development of human .A sustainable forest is essential for human social to stay the course. The carrying capacity of forest is a crucial index in the evaluation of sustainable development of forest and a precondition of making stratagem and implementing the developmental plan of sustainable forest in some areas. And, it is also an absolutely necessarily work in supervising the regional forest management .At the same time, the carrying capacity of forest is an important element in the theory of the sustainable forest and a new content in the forest management. So the study on the forestry carrying capacity has an important meaning in the theory and the practice. The paper chooses the forestry carrying capacity as the research goal, discussing the concept of the forestry carrying capacity and the System Dynamics (S.D) is applied to study it. Now I have obtained the below results by the study.(1) Commencing on the development of carrying capacity, I explained the course of the birth of the concept of the forest carrying capacity and its indefinite aspects. Then I pointed out myself the concept of the forest carrying capacity.(2) Establishing a System Dynamics (S.D) model of the forest carrying capacity and only using it to study forest carrying capacity about which has never seen before at home and abroad.(3) Making clear and definite the research purpose of the forest carrying capacity and using S.D model to study the forest carrying capacity of the forest resources in Erqis River Region, providing the scientific method for supervising the regional forest management. The idea and method in this paper is an innovation in this field .So someone else can consult it applying the study to other region too.
