So the transformation of relations between town and country from tradition to modernization was initiated. This thesis mainly expand the course of social modernization of town and country in Yantai and the entire construction relations that town and country depend on each other and restrict each other in the course. According to this, we conclude basic experiences and lessons of social development of town and country in Yantai, hoptag that it could provide references for the coordinate growth of urban and rural integration in the present.The main content of the whole thesis includes six parts:I From tradition to modernizationThis part mainly studies the background of the times when relations between town and country of the modern china formed and basic Circumstances of Yantai and the circular society before opening the port. So a batch of famous enterprises was bred. The second was the perfection of service function of modern city. It was reflected by the entire progress in the fields of administration, construction, education, radical services and health, sports, etc. These were municipal necessary equipment of modern quality. The third was the modernization of the population quality. The increasing population number and the distinct non-agriculture population feature indicated the modern feature of municipal population of Yantai, while the urban modernization must bring about changes in deeper level.
