Ideological And Political Work Incentives

Encouragement is one of the basic functions of ideological and political work. In order to deepen reform and accelerate modernization, it is an urgent need to fulfill the function of encouragement by conducting thoroughgoing and painstaking ideological work and arousing people's internal spiritual motive power. This thesis analyzes the general meaning of encouragement, discusses the implication, characteristics and functions of the encouragement in ideological work, and expounds the special significance of it in ideological work under the circumstance that spiritual motive power is increasing day by day at present. The author points out that, in studying and practicing encouragement in ideological work, we should stick to the scientific theory of Marxism as guiding ideology, especially the theory about man's conscious dynamic role and man's needs in Marxism, at the same time assimilate and draw lessons from the theory of encouragement in contemporary science of management. In order to improve the effect of encouragement, in practicing encouragement we should follow the principles of guiding, interest, reason and justice, pursue encouraging methods of goal, consolidation, example and situation, seize the opportunity and master the art of encouraging in ideological work.
