GI products are a new type of intellectual property that not only represents the origin of the product,but also reflects the quality and reputation of a product.With the continuous advancement and development of the society,people began to pursue high-quality,high-quality material life,making GI products gradually gain attention.More than 90% of the geographical indication products that China has applied for registration protection are primary agricultural products.Compared with before registration,its industrial scale and industrial development level have been improved to a certain extent,especially its economic benefits are higher than ordinary agricultural products.More than 25%.Therefore,research on geographical indication products can help increase the added value of agricultural products,effectively increase the comprehensive benefits of agriculture,and inject new impetus into regional economic development.At the same time,it will provide new ideas for poverty alleviation and solving the problems of agriculture,rural areas and farmers.The Wulingshan area is rich in famous and special products,geographical indication products,ethnic handicrafts and other special products,and has the resource advantages of developing characteristic agriculture,ethnic handicrafts,eco-tourism and other characteristic industries.Based on the relevant research results at home and abroad,this paper takes the geographical indication products of Wulingshan area as the research object,and on the basis of summarizing the concept,value and characteristics of geographical indication products,deeply analyzes the status of protection and development of geographical indication products in Wulingshan area.Statistics show that as of June 2018,there were 189 geographical indication products registered in the Wulingshan area,and good progress has been made in the protection and development process.For example,government departments have vigorously supported the development of GI products through policies and funds,and actively created a model of “integrated tourism products for rural geographical indications + rural tourism”,also through television,newspapers,news,expo,Weibo,etc.The advertising media and online platform are used for marketing and promotion.Enterprises have begun to actively apply for the use of geographical indication trademarks.Farmers have gradually realized that geographical indication products can bring in income,and have begun to actively promote the geographical indication products,deep processing and finishing of some geographical indication products.The industrial chain has been extended to varying degrees.At the same time,however,it has also been found that the use of special signs for geographical indications is poor,the proliferation of counterfeit and shoddy products,the scale of production of geographical indication products is generally small,the degree of industrial concentration is low,the product popularity is not high,the brand is difficult to form,and the degree of development is uneven.Therefore,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are finally targeted,including the establishment of local protection systems for geographical indications,the establishment of quality tracking management systems,the strengthening of policy support,the strengthening of brand promotion and consumption guidance,the continuous cultivation of leading enterprises and the expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises.Increase effective methods such as strengthening the construction of featured industrial parks and upgrading the industrial value chain.It is hoped that it will provide some reference for the protection and development of geographical indication products in Wuling Mountain.
