Study, Based On The Oil Companies Dss Data Warehouse Design

Data warehouse-based decision support system (DSS) of petroleum enterprise is a DSS which combine Data warehouse with online analytical processing (OLAP) and offer assistant decision for petroleum enterprise. It provides petroleum enterprise with not only the function of assistant decision by former but also a data warehouse that provides the decision-maker with a strong data-analytic flat. The general information, time-trend information and analytic information of multidimensional data can be produced by the query-analytic function of the data warehouse and the OLAP technology, which expands the ability of decision support.According to the producing and managing ways and the trait of the operation flow, this article bring forward the new idea which to build the Data warehouse-based DSS of petroleum enterprise and establish the new structural former which combine the data warehouse and the former warehouse. Based on this former, this article investigates the design ways and process of the petroleum enterprise data warehouse, the design of the former data warehouse and the OLAP in the petroleum enterprise.
