During the external association of the Communist Party of China (CPC), there are both achievements and experiences, both twists and lessons, new opportunities and challenges. Facing the new century, the Party need associate the historical course of the Party's external association with the news domestic and overseas changes, to further sum up, through integrated, comparative and frontal research, historical lessons and new experiences so that she can better carry out the policy of external association. This is what the paper means and is the reason why the paper is written.The full text is divided into five parts.The first part introduces inter-party diplomacy and its relationship to government diplomacy, as well as the inter-party theory and practice in international communism campaign. This is the theoretical basis and matting for the development of the whole paper.In the second part, the paper looks back the CPC's external association before reform and opening, with the purpose to illuminate that the adjustment and development of our party's diplomatic association, since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, is an in heritage, enrichment and development on the basis of absorbing historical experiences and lessons.The third part is the core of the paper. In this part, it discusses Deng Xiaoping's theory of inter-party relationship and the Party's external association in the new era. By contrasting and analyzing, the theory brought out by Deng Xiaoping is a complete inter-party relationship theory, under whose instructions, the Party's external association has entered a new stage, providing a strong support for the country's overall diplomacy and the construction of the socialism modernization.The fourth part expatiates that the third-generation leadership puts Deng Xiaoping's theory of inter-party relationship to a creative use, and develops the Party's external association in an overall, multi-channel, wide scope and deep level way, accumulating new experiences.The fifth part deal with the new situation and prospect of the Party's external association.
