In the past two decades, the economic globalization and new economy have provided good opportunities for women entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs have been developed greatly and contributed a lot to wealth increase and recruitment creation since the 1990's. On the other hand, the problem that womens' performances are influenced by their own factors and environmental factors is now attracting more and more social attention. Research on women entrepreneurs is extensive in developed countries, especially in the United States, Canada and England. However, studies on women entrepreneurs in non-OECD as well as developing countries are comparatively scarce. This study tries to discuss the topic in Chinese social context. The study concerned with the composition of women entrepreneurs' performance, the factors influencing performance, and the relationship between influencing factors and performance. On the base of reading a lot of research documents, the author firstly proposed a basic model of performance, and then analyzed the factors influencing performance in order to build up the model of relationship between influencing factors and performance. There were two stages in this study. At the first stage, an interview was conducted to analyze the composition of performance and influencing factors and to test and verify the design of the study. In the second stage, 56 female entrepreneurs from different enterprises were surveyed through questionnaires. On the base of the concrete circumstance of Chinese enterprises, this paper provided a hypothetic system model of influencing factors of women entrepreneurs' performance (including human capital, motivation and goals, personal traits, family å'Œ network relationships and environmental fators), and designed the evaluation index of women entrepreneurs' performance, then did an empirical research on the relativity between these different influencing factors. Lastly, this paper provided advices for improving women's performance and the prospect of future research on womenentrepreneurs.
