In an uncertain environment, how to detect the enterprises strategy decay and adjust it in time becomes a difficult problem for enterprise managers. When enterprise managers change strategy at a comparatively smooth age, they can detect strategy decay through strategy analysis, make a strategy change plan, then carry through strategy change under the guide of plan. But in an uncertain environment the inflexible strategy change process becomes unfeasible, because it assume managers can forecast the result of their action and their strategy change plans can be understood, accepted and implemented very well which is impossible in such an environment. Strategy analysis, strategy selection and strategy implementation must interact at the same time. So my thesis describes a strategy change process which makes strategy analysis, strategy selection and strategy implementation interact on the basis of the research of corporation in IT industry where environment is more uncertain. I hope that my thesis could be used for reference in enterprise practice.The Main Contents of the ThesisThe first chapter is the part of the prolegomenon, which includes the background of strategy change process, the status of research in home and abroad and the research thought and method. In an uncertain environment, enterprise strategy must change with the change of surroundings. The inflexible strategy change process has been challenged, and enterprises need an organic strategy change process. The thesis uses corporations in IT industry as research object and adopts comparing analysis method, case analysis method and criterion analysis method to investigate strategy change process.The second chapter compares two strategy change mode and explains which strategy change mode should be adopted in an uncertain environment, then we develop a frame of strategy change process. According to the speed and extent of change the strategy change is classified to gradual strategy change and radical strategy change. Managers should adopt a radical strategy change to deal the environment change in an uncertain environment and correspondingly need a kind of urgent process. For radical strategy change has not an admitted and all-around frame of process, the process and steps of gradual strategy change can be used for reference when we investigate radical strategy change process but overcome the disadvantage of the abruption of thinking and action, the abruption of strategy formulation and strategy implementation. Our research frame of strategy change process mainly includes the parts of strategy analysis, establishment, selection, execution and transform. We divide it into two parts and it will be discussed in Chapter Four and Chapter Five.The contents of Chapter Three are theoretical base of strategy change process. The point of view of resource-based theory is to reduce the impact of environment change. Resource-based theory points out competition advantage roots in the resource that enterprises hold or can control and the ability that enterprises configure and utilize resource. When enterprises face an uncertain circumstance, they can seek more resource or configure it more effectively to reduce the impact of environment change to them. The supporters of organization learning school believe the improvement of learning ability can help corporations survive and develop in a rapid change and ardent competition environment. Strategy learning school believes the process of strategy decision-making and execution of strategy is a repeating and increasing organization learning process, which offers a foundation for the establishment, selection and execution of strategy is a gradually finding, adjusting, attempting and reducing uncertainty process. Managers will find the opportunity of change and prevent the occurrence of dangers if they combine the curve of corporation life cycle with the curves of economy cycle, innovation cycle, product life cycle and operator life cycle.
