After our country's entering the WTO, agriculture, as a weak industry, faces more challenges. How to make use of the World Trade Organization's rules effectively and hold the opportunities is a great issue we need to concern. To this, the academic circles preceded the extensive discussion. They put forward suggestions from the different angles on how our country's agriculture replies to joining into the WTO. Absorbing this standpoints, this text analysis the advantageous and disadvantageous factors that agriculture development is facing after entering the WTO by explaining the WTO rules and our country's commitments .Later on, this article induces China agriculture's basic characteristics and unscrambles the key problems of agriculture in present stage. Then, the writer reviews American agriculture development, the supporting policy of government, and its policy adjustment after Uruguay Round. On the basic of this work, the writer summarizes America's successful experiences in developing agriculture. At last, the article proposes some tentative plan on how to adjust and reform our country's agriculture policy.
