During The Cold War. Affect The Stability In Xinjiang And International Factors And Countermeasures

The international situation has been fluctuating intensely, and the world has entered into an age of post cold war since 90s, 20th century. Influenced by internationl politics, nations, religion and terrorism, the actions of separatism, terrorism, and undermining the social order taken by the three forces of national separation, terrorism and religions extremism in Xinjiang have had a tendency of rise.At present, studies on the international factors which influcence the stability of Xinjiang have drawn academia's attention. This paper, directing on a very inportant and pressing issue of maintaining the stability of Xinjiang, rooting on Xinjiang's strategic position in location, nations' evolution, religion development, particularity of the emergence and development of national separatism, from different angles of international layout, western anti-China forces, worldwide national separatism movement, pan-Islamism, pan-Turkism and international terrorism, analyses the international factors which influence the stability of Xinjiang, and searches for the causes, channels and strategy these factors influenced, and also definitely puts forward the countermeasures to eliminate the negative factors so as to maintain stability of Xinjiang, to quicken the social and economic progress, to narrow the gaps between the middle and the west in China, to promote all nations' mutual prosperity, and to achieve the goal of building a moderate wealth society put forward by the Sixteenth People's Congress.The whole paper involves three parts:The first part, focusing on the history and the current situation of nations, religion in Xinjiang, analysing Xinjiang's strategic position in location, the evolution history of nations in Xinjiang, the history of religion development as well as the origin of natonal separatism in Xinjiang.The second part, analysing the international factors which influence stability of Xinjiang: international anti-China forces, pan-Islamism, the influence of pan-Turkism, and national separatism movement.The third part, mainly studying the countermeasures for maintaining the stability of Xinjiang in the new international situation, putting forward setting up the constructive strategic partnership of Sino-America and Sino-Russia, enhancing the friendly cooperation with countries in the mid-Aisa, making good use of UN Security Council, enhancing international cooperation of anti-terrorism, attacking international terrorism by various means, eliminating the sources of international terrorism, promoting all nations' mutual development and prosperity in Xinjiang.
