In the circumstance of market economy and under the background of informationisation and globalization, job stress of organizational members especially Knowledge Workers increases. Job stress has close relationship with job satisfaction and work performance. Stress management toward Knowledge Workers has been an important problem in Human Resource Management. There are two steps during the research of this thesis:1) Quantitative research is conducted toward the self-reports of MBA and graduate students, then we summarize the job stress sources of Knowledge Workers. Hereby we put forward the hypothesis of Good Stress and Bad Stress.2) According to inventories of stress sources acquired in the first step, we make questionnaire and make a survey of Knowledge Workers, subsequently these data are analyzed with SPSS.Through this statistical research, results as follows are attained:(1) It is validated that job stress is really made up of two ingredients: Good Stress and Bad Stress. Good stress has positive correlation with job satisfaction or work performance. Bad stress has negative correlation with job satisfaction, and has no evident correlation with work performance.(2) 'Two-factor theory' about job satisfaction-'motivation factor' and 'hygiene factor', which is put forward by Herzberg, is validated. Furthermore we find a 'harmony factor' that is possibly proper to Chinese.(3) On the basis of sorting of job stress and job satisfaction, we made a correlative analysis toward job stress, job satisfaction and work performance of Knowledge Workers, and then in-depth and detailed mutual relation of the three variables is attained. We expect the results of this research can provide convincing demonstrational support for stress management of Knowledge Workers and improve job satisfaction and work performance of Knowledge Workers.
