The Power Factor Of The Urban Tourism Development Quantitative Analysis And Research

This paper is based on theories of tourism, economics, city management, geography, statistics, and continual development. First of all, clear definitions of basic conceptions are given, such as urban tourism and the driving factors of urban tourism. Secondly, the focus of the paper is on the discussion of the relationship between the driving factors and incomes from tourism of different kinds of cities. Thirdly, my paper proposes a multivariable model, calculates the weight of all the driving factors, and tries to predict the potential development of tourism in future. Finally, Shanghai is taken as an example to show how our model can be applied. According to the analysis of the present situation of Shanghai, this paper gives some detailed suggestions to make Shanghai more competitive.To sum up, the main feature of this paper is the quantitative analysis of the driving factors of the cities, which is under research for the first time to our knowledge. The meanings of all the quantities are well investigated and sufficient examples are explored to support the model calculation. We believe this paper is a remarkable progress in study of urban tourism.
