Since 90's,the business circumstances of enterprises have been great change. In competitive global markets, enterprises need to find better business solutions, ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) becomes the best choice. The application and implement of ERP enhances enterprise's efficiency and competitive capability greatly.Today, global market change has become a constant, which reveals a clear and imperative need for continuously improving business processes . A significant number of companies are re-engineering their business to be more effective and productive. Consequently, existing applications must be modified, and new applications must be written. However, it is difficult for the existing ERP to change. So, we cry for improving ERP's flexibility and enhancing the function of workflow management.WfMS(Workflow Management System) provides procedural automation of a business process by management of the sequence of work activities and the invocation of appropriate human and/or IT resources associated with the various activity steps. WfMS can realize the modeling , analyzing , optimizing , management and integration of business process. So, the integration of ERP and WfMS can enhance the flexibility of ERP greatly, the customer can regulate the business process in information system.This paper is structured as follows: chapter 1 introduces the change of business circumstances and the development of enterprise information system; chapter 2 gives an overview of workflow system, including it's resource, definition and Reference Model; chapter 3 introduces ERP's concept, development and the relationship of ERP and BPR; chapter 4 analyses the possibility and necessary of the integration of ERP and WfMS; chapters gives a solutions of the integration of ERP and WfMS; chapter 6 presents a application prototype of the integration of ERP and WfMS; Finally, the author presents a beautiful prospect of the integration application of ERP and WfMS.
