| On the basis of analysis of the present situation of water carriage in Changjiang River in Jiangsu province, the author in this paper, after comparing the technical and economic characteristics of water carriage with those of other 4 transportation modes, study the cost characteristic, the cargo characteristic, the supply characteristic and the demand characteristic of water carriage in Changjiang River in Jiangsu province, and finally build up a index-system for evaluating the technical and economic characteristics of water carriage.There are two objectives in this paper. The first one is making sure of the status and functions of water carriage in Changjiang River in the system of integration of transport. Another one is providing theoretic warrants for government to form some macroscopical policies about transportation and supplying the direction for the water carriage enterprises' deep development. |
