In this paper, the author researches systemically the relationship between high school and secondary vocational education's future-oriented appropriate development and the economical development of Jiangsu by comprehensively using educational economics theory, educational policy theory and educational strategy theory. This paper is divided into five sections. The major concerns of these sections are as follows: at the beginning of this paper, the author analyses the background of thestrategy--future-oriented education appropriate development, which is the newest concept ofeducational development of our country in the 21st century, and identifies its connotation and characteristic. In the second and the third part of this paper, the author discusses the influence happened to Jiangsu if high school and secondary vocational education future-oriented develops appropriately by thinking the reality of Jiangsu, especially by surveying high school and secondary vocational education's development in the past 10 years. On this basis, the author uses gray relative analysis method to calculate the degree of relation between high school and secondary vocational education's future-oriented appropriate development and the economical development of Jiangsu. At last, according to the above calculation, the author brings forward some countermeasures to make the education of Jiangsu develops healthily.
