The transformation from "seller" to "buyer" in market economy impel enterprises pay more and more attention to quality of products than the quantity.40%~70% of enterprises' products quality problem is that quality design adaptability isn't enough and the design process isn't perfect. Thus cause "inherent bug" of products, so the quality control is must from "source". That is to say, quality plan and control must be developed from the design phase to products, so can get the quality in the customer's excited or expected demand meaning and the products could be more competitive.Started with the forming process of quality and the analyses of quality problem in the process of product design, the necessity, importance and technical feasibility that apply the quality assurance tool in the product design have been announced. 3 kinds of quality assurance tools, which are comparatively ripe and quite prevail abroad now but are still in the early developing stage in our country is analyzed and studied and they are QFD, TRIZ and Taguchi design. On the basis of comparative analysis of three kinds of quality assurance tool theories and scope of application; the inner link and characteristic have been indicated about three kinds of tools. Sizable complementarities each other of three tools, which are also in different status and the angle in guaranteeing the designing quality are analyzed. QFD is defined to pay more attention to what to do, TRIZ is put emphasis on how to do, and Taguchi design is attached importance to how to deal problem in detail. Integrate three kinds of tools and form two control modules. One is QFD module aided by TRIZ; the other is Taguchi design module. The two modules formed the quality assurance model, which is a powerful support tool in whole product design phase. QFD control module can be applied to the demand analysis and concept design phase of the products independently, and Taguchi design control module can be applied to technical design and detailed design phase independently. Two cases have proved the two modules' value separately. Therefore, the possibility to obtain customers satisfied quality is guaranteed from the point of quality engineering in the whole design phase. Finally, the problem of the model, the respects needed to be improved and future development trend in this field are pointed out.
