Globalization And Regional Integration And Interaction Between Analysis

Economic globalization and regionalization are two important trends in the present development of world economy. On the one hand, economic globalization has influenced most countries in the world with different degree. On the other hand, most countries in the world are at least the members of one regional economic organization.Economic globalization and regionalization are the external environment and historical background China's economic development faces. True understanding about the relation between the two trends can help us realize the chances and challenges China's development faces clearly and shape correct strategy, course and policy that fit in with the development tide of world economy and our country's situation.To get an impersonal and accurate understanding about the two trends and their relation, we need consider the following questions seriously: Whether the incomplete opening of regional groups is contrary with the requirement of economic globalization that each country's economy syncretizes highly and nearly in the world? Whether the partial interests of regional blocs contradict with the unitary interests of the whole world in the background of globalization? Whether economic globalizatiion and regionalization are antipathic? These questions deserve our extensive attention and embedded research. They are also the aim of my research in this paper.This paper analyses the interactive and interdependent relation between globalization and regionalizatiion dialecticly. During the course, this paper quotes abundant datum and graphs. At last, this paper draws a conclusion in connection with fact.This paper points out the following viewpoints: the two trends of globalization and regionalization are antipathic. The relation between them is not repulsive .butcomplementary. They promote one another and bring out the best in each other. The development of economic globalization provides a good external environment for regionalization. .It forces the birth of regionalization actually and stimulates its development to higher level. Although the development of regionalization has some negative effects on economic globalization, it pushes forward the development of globalization continuously on the whole and do not run counter to globalization. This is just the primary aspect in the impact of regionalization to globalization. So the relation between regionalization and globalization are benign and interdependent wholly.The innovation of this paper lies in that it analyses the relation between globalization and regionalization completely from the visual angle of interact and interdependeney. In other words, it studies how globalization pushes the development of regionalization and how regionalization pushes the development of globalization contrarily. The paper places the emphasis of discussion on the positive influence of regionalization on globalization. At the same time, it does not neglect and deny the negative influence and passive effect that regionalization have on globalization. In the course of analyzing the interactive relation between the two trends, this paper spread expatiation from many different aspects reflecting globalization such as international trade, international investment, multinational companies, multilateral trade system, and multilateral investment system. At last, this paper links China's reality to discuss the interactive relation between China's utilizing globalization and participating in regionalization in the course and track of China's participating in regionalization. This paper puts forward that China should give synchronous attention to multilateralism and regionalism. That is to say, China should attach more importance to and participate into regionalization when utilizing globalization actively. If we define utilizing globalization as China's basic strategy, then participating in regionalization should be the preferential tactic at present.
