The decade of 1990s witnessed the tendency of informationization and globalization in the economic development which has given rise to the budding and flourish of knowledge-based economy, bringing forth intense impact not only on the way people live, work and think but also on many other aspects of life including the value system, educational mode, customer behavior and managerial decision making. It becomes necessary for marketing action conducted by marketing subject to vary with the times. Knowledge-based marketing, as a new concept of marketing to meet the needs of knowledge-based economy, comes into existence.The thesis begins with a brief summary about some authorized researches of theoretical contiguity in this area both home and abroad. Due emphasis is also placed on exploring the characteristics of knowledge-based economy as well as the great influence it exerts to marketing environment, on which the determination of both the concept and connotation of knowledge-based marketing is based finally, an in-depth analysis is made about such main knowledge-based marketing strategies as marketing mix strategy, competition strategy and organizing strategy.Being in the stage of industrial economy, China still has a long way to go before the realization of knowledge-based economy. Enormous efforts need to be made in improving infrastructure, personal reserve, institutional construction, theoretical research and even cultural construction, all of which are indispensable to the development of knowledge-based economy. Thus, enterprises in China still have a lot of difficulties carrying out knowledge-based marketing. It is for this reason, however, that we have to learn from what some advanced countries have been undergoing to avoid setbacks in our marketing strategies innovation.As a concrete and highly applicable new marketing theory, knowledge-based marketing strategies and its study done in this paper will be of some practical significance to the operation of various domestic enterprises.
