After the interim of China's entering into WTO, our local retailing market has been totally opened to foreign investments. The great importance of Human resource management has been gradually realized by most of enterprises, especially our local retailing enterprises. If our local retailing enterprises intend to win the competition, they must firstly build a human resource management system that is suitable to their operating. This article analyses the current human resource management situation of S company and studies the countermeasures on system approach. Then it offers the main references to establish and improve the system of human resource management in our local retailing enterprises. S company is one of the largest retailers in Shandong Province. It achieved the rapid and continual development by learning advanced management theories from foreign retailers, catching every opportunity and making full use of the internal advantages. The contest for elites is the key to the competition among S company and its foreign competitors. For this reason, S company has experienced some innovations in human resource management. At the same time, there are still many questions, which are representative in our local retailers and need to be resolved. Therefore, the research of human resource management in S company has some reference value not only to the development of S company but also to the reform and development of our local retailers.First of all, the article introduces the basic theories of retailing and human resource management. On the basis of it, the paper formulates the status quo and countermeasures of the human resource management in our local retailers. Then it analyzes and investigates the status quo of human resource management in S company, and then finds out its advantages and disadvantages by considering the conditions inside and outside of S company. At last, this thesis puts forward the human resource management countermeasures of S company, which is significantly instructive to its development.
