From 1980's to 1990's, with the further development of the reform and opening-up of China, the enterprise culture was introduced into Chinese enterprises as a mode of management in the process of introducing overseas investment, advanced technologies and management of foreign countries. Furthermore, the traditional culture of China must be contained in enterprise culture construction so that the unique enterprise culture of Chinese enterprises can be created. This paper takes Samsung Company as a case for illustration, hoping to render some useful guidelines for the Chinese enterprises by discussing its unique corporate culture.Both locating in East Asia, Korea and China have a variety of similarities in corporate culture. For example, due to the Confucianism-based traditional culture integrated with the ideas and code of conduct of operators in Korea and China, the enterprises in both countries have the characteristics such as centralization of state power, kindheartedness, advocating hardship and hard work as well as paternalism. This text analyzes the cultural differences between Korea and China and the effects on management methods by the differences on the basis of the similar culture of both countries. Using the case of corporate culture of Samsung, the author illustrates that the Samsung Culture integrates Korean traditional culture and western culture, and shows how Samsung sets up and develops its unique and excellent corporate culture, and furthermore, how Samsung overcomes and rectifies the cultural differences between Korea and China.This paper consists of four chapters. Chapter one, relating to the relationship between culture and management, mainly describes the characteristics of Korean culture and Chinese culture as well as the relationship between culture and management.Chapter two, centering on the differences of corporate culture, reviews the cultural differences between the parent company in Korea and the subsidiary company in China, the origin of the differences, the effects on enterprise operation and management as well as the conflicts caused by cultural differences. Chapter three focuses on analyzing corporate culture case of Samsung, such as the competition strategies and operation status of Samsung in China.Chapter four relates to the inspirations given to Korean enterprises in China by cases of corporate culture building. It analyzes the influence of cultural differences in management and brand building of subsidiaries as well as its solutions, the inspirations given to enterprises in China by corporate culture building of Samsung. For Chinese enterprises, it's actually worthy of learning many valuable things from the enterprise culture of Samsung.
