People Were Satisfied With The Local Government Performance Assessment

One goal of public administration is to improve the government performance. All the activities, dating back to the initial trying concerning administration efficiency to the very Public Management Activities in 1960s, then to the government performance appraisal projects carried out by governments of different countries in 1990s; suggest that people are focusing on the government performance. Therefore, we should devote to improve the government performance, constructing a service -oriented Government.This paper explores an idea of how to appraise the government performance through the satisfactory of citizens, by setting its thesis on the problems of government performance evaluation based on the satisfactory of their citizens. Accordingly, this paper falls into three parts: theoretical discussion, empirical research, study conclusion and envision.In the section of theoretical discussion, this paper reviews historical revolution of the government performance appraisal and its definition, then forms basic logical methods of the research, points out theoretical hypothesis and research mode accordingly, through learning, inducing and referring the already research production concerning government performance appraisal and satisfactory degree of citizens by experts in and out of abroad, combined with the present condition of our local government performance and satisfactory of our citizens.In the section of empirical research, it tries to formulate ten dimensions of local government performance appraisal that satisfy their citizen, based on the quantitative analysis they have done, which includes research and feedback on satisfactory of citizens in Zigong city. What's more, it succeeds in further proving the relationships between those dimensions and finding the key one that influences the satisfactory citizens. Thereafter, it analyzes the satisfactory degree of citizens intensively and tries to explore the inner reasons lying behind them. The very research falls into two periods, the first one is interviewing and literalizing research and the second one is questionnaire research. To be explicit, in the first period it tries to generalize the information of government performance appraisal and citizen satisfactory, thus understands the current condition of them, which leads to develop the idea of how to support the research in this paper .During the second period, it carries out some statistical analysis andworks out the conclusion according to the research on satisfactory degree of citizen they have done.In the part of study conclusion and envision, besides making conclusion to the research, this paper also points out several constructing suggestions for the research of government performance appraisal and satisfactory of their citizens afterwards.
