After The Cold War Between China And Asean Security Cooperation

After the Cold War, though the international situation was having a great change and the Asian and Pacific area was basically peaceful and stable, the Southeast Asia area was still a "local hotspot" which had security hidden dangers and easily erupted armed conflict while great nations was unceasingly advancing their infiltration and strengthening their influence. After the Cold War, the Southeast Asian countries and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, in its new situation, adjusted the foreign policy which made the Association of Southeast Asian Nations unceasingly develop and become a gradually mature regional cooperative organization, and continue to play a special role in the Asian and Pacific area. Since the beginning of the 90's, the relationship between China and the Association of Southeast Asia Nations has begun its period of full-scale development. The two parties unceasingly developed and greatly succeeded in politics, economy, security, diplomacy, etc., and made great contribution to maintain the peace and stability of this area.On this foundation ,it is very important to do a research on the trustable cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asia Nations after the Cold War which can ascertain the form, the content and the goal of the cooperation of and its influence on this area. I hope my research can cognizance the requirement of beneficial between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and compare the level of cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, in order to exert the positive factors which they go in for, balance the cooperation level between these countries and give suggestions for improvement and development of relationship of China and the Association of Southeast Asia Nations. The confine: the period after the Cold War, the object: trustable cooperation of China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.The research divides into four parts:The first part: influence of the Cold War,survey of relationship of China and the Southeast Asia area which divides into two stages: from the new China to the beginning of the 70's, the relationship of the both sides was resistant; from the 70's to the end of the 80's, the relationship of the both sides changed into a cooperative one. After the Cold War, according to the international change, the both sides got rapidly development on politics and ecnimy ,and became "good relationship of neighborhood and partners".The second part:formation of new viewpoint of security of China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations after the Cold War. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations established the "Multilateral Security dialog" for the new viewpoint of security of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations under the spiritual instruction of the "Southeast Asia Friendship treaty". The new viewpoint of security of China is by the spirit of "mutual confidence ,mutual benefit ,equality,cooperation".The third part: the main content of my research -thee trustable cooperation of China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations after the Cold War; establishing several kind of cooperative mechanisms in order to strengthen the bilateral security cooperation, by which the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and China adopts some measures,mainly including dealing with the conflict of the South China Sea ,cooperation in attacking against terrorism activities as well as prevention and control of the disease and cooperation on economic security.The fourth part:Appreciate of the cooperative relation of China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations .
