| Great changes have taken place in international situation since the end of the Cold War, peace and development became tendency of the day. The status of the Asian and Pacific area has a greatly upgrade which attracts the eyes of all the world, and this area was still a "local hotspot" which had security hidden dangers and easily erupted armed conflict while great powers was unceasingly advancing their infiltration and strengthening their influence.The Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) and its' member state adjusted the foreign policy which made the ASEAN unceasingly develop and become a gradually mature regional cooperative organization, and continue to play a special role in the Asian and Pacific area. Since the beginning of the 90's, the relationship between China and the ASEAN has begun its period of full-scale development, and made great contribution to maintain the peace and stability of this area.The target of this paper is to summarize ideas which can improve the relationship between China and the ASEAN by the analysis of factors on the trustable cooperation between China and the ASEAN, such as necessity, basis, affecting factors and so on. This paper confined the period after the Cold War, and the object of the paper is about the trustable cooperation of China and the ASEAN. The research divides into five parts:The first part mainly discusses the necessity of the trustable cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.The second part is mainly about the foundation of the trustable cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.The third part is about the analyses about the security cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.The fourth part is about the factors which have a great impact on the security cooperation between China and the ASEAN.The fifth part: the consideration of the security cooperation between China and the ASEAN.
