The New Century, The Taiwan Issue, Sino-japanese Relations

A Japan-China bilateral relation is one of the most important relations in Asian area.After entering the new century, contact between China and Japan is day by day close.However, the relations between the two countries has encountered various constraints andbottlenecks and appeared obvious backing up. Conversely, the marked improvement ofrelations has appeared between Japan and Taiwan. Japan's involvement in the Taiwan issuehas been increased and it is inclined to use the Taiwan issue to restrict China. With thedeterioration of relations between the two countries and some new moves on the Taiwan issue,the Taiwan issue is becoming a sensitive issue of all influences in Sino-Japan relations. Facingnew situations and new changes of Sino-Japan relations, we can not help but ponder: Why canJapan change strongly in the Taiwan problem by the low key? How will Japan walk next step?How should the Chinese government deal with it? How should China and Japan get alongwith each other in the future? Based on recalling the history of Japan-Taiwan relations, thisthesis tries to analyze the new changes and deep-seated reasons that caused the new changeson the Taiwan issue between China and Japan. By analysis of the problem, it tries to forecasttrend of relations between the two countries and Taiwan-Japan relations in the future andpropose the corresponding countermeasure and suggestion. There are three parts in this thesis:The first part is recalling the history of relations between Japan and Taiwan. It mainlyincludes the origin of the Taiwan issue, the history of the development phase of Japan-Taiwanrelations. And by using realism theory, this part points out Japan's policy on the Taiwan issuesince the two countries establishing diplomatic relations.The second part mainly discusses warming relations between Japan and Taiwan. First, it discusses the performance of the Warming relations between Japan and Taiwan. Second, by analyzing from six aspect (international environment, Japanese domestic factors and Taiwan independence influence est.), this part points out the reason why Japan change strongly in the Taiwan problem at this stage.The third part mainly forecasts prospect and puts forward the proposal.
