Study Of Political Culture In The Process Of Political Development In Russia

Since the transition of 1991, Russia has experienced a series of changing political patterns. Although the road of democracy basically decided, however under the influence of various factors, Russia's road to democracy has been extremely complex and difficult. The history and culture of Russia can be traced over a thousand year back, her special political cultural tradition has always played a crucial role in her process of political development. This paper attempts from a multiple of angles and aspects to make a systemic analysis on both traditional and modern Russian political culture, in the hope that from this research on her political culture some profound understanding on Russian political development can be figured out.Based on an analysis with the elemental concepts and effects of political culture, starting from social basics for the formation and evolution of Russian traditional political culture, this paper explained through the analysis on a multiple of aspects and factors the characteristics of Russian traditional political culture and their impacts on the nation; and through the continuation of traditional political culture during the Soviet era, further explained the mighty tension of Russian traditional political culture. Then the paper evolved to the research on Russian political culture after the transition of 1991, along with the changing of political patterns, the composition and characteristics of Russian political culture take new changes; in the process of political development, political culture has manifested many ill reflections which put forward many difficulties and problems in front of current political development of Russia. Finally, this paper made a research on the construction of modern Russia political culture and some conclusions and enlightenment hence figured out. To construct the modern political culture, we should handle the relationship properly between tradition and modernization, Occident and mainland; we should realize the innovation and transformation of the political culture, to provide the internal support and assurances for the development of democracy.
