Since the mid 1980s, the implement of the household-based land contract system had set thousands upon thousands farmers free. In the meanwhile, it also made millions of farmers' frenzied hunt for work in cities. Since then, Peasant Worker Tide has its tortuous course: From 1984 to 1993, it was the phase of permitting the peasant-worker flow from country to city; from 1994 to 1999, it was the phase of forbidding the peasant-worker flow from country to city; and since 2000, the open-up policy shaped the nowadays 200-million-scale Peasant Worker Tide.Chinese off-farm workers are now in the period of the rapid transformation from the first generation and the second generation. In the modern society of rapid change, the second generation peasant-workers have distinguished features from the first generation from culture level, life style, value, growing up background, social identity and so on. They are on an awkard place in the city because neither do they have much relationship with country nor do they are taken in by the townsmen. Besides, most of them do not have the farming experience. They could not cultivate even if come back home. Further more, the amalgamation between peasant workers and urban citizens concerns the social stability. This thesis tries to show the actuality and characteristic of today's peasant-workers social amalgamation, or so called urbanization and adaptation to city life. As for the social integration of migrant workers and the level of life satisfaction had no idea such a system and the authority of the definition, and the degree of integration and life satisfaction, they are very subjective and varies from person to person. So based on the author's understanding of the investigation and the relevant experience of migrant workers into the community level to make the concept of self - own definition : the economic level application consists of income, and general living conditions of the three main areas; social interaction level migrant workers mainly to study leisure time entertainment of the social interaction with the local community and the interaction between residents; psychological level of integration into the main work is to study their own farmers to urban life satisfaction and a sense of belonging among subjective evaluation.Besides, this writing would also summarize the characteristic of the peasant-worker's amalgamation as follows: differences and multi-urbanization, long-term and gradual urbanization, and formidable urbanization. This article also analyze the amalgamation obstacles on the base of discussing the condition of peasant-workers social amalgamation, It draws the conclusion that both the division of the dual urban-rural system, household-based land contract system and disfigurements of farmer-workers themselves are the Biggest Obstacle to their urbanization. Since then, this thesis shows a preview of farmer-worker's urbanization according to the transformation of corresponding social policy and the character of Peasant Worker Tide. For most important, it take a proposal according to the above-mentioned analyzing. According to the farmer-workers for their own groups and differentiation characteristics and adopt an orderly classification accepted migrant workers; to the city's farmer-workers to provide basic social protections, such as ill health, emergency relief; migrant workers into urban falling in the areas, and therefore improve their quality becomes necessary; migrant workers in cities are the occupational status and wage levels will largely affect their integration, therefore enhance their employability and competitiveness is also important initiatives; community organizations and trade unions to link migrant workers and the public, The employer must also play an important bridge to promote their role; farmer-workers are not one community into two generations to complete. At present, many families of farmer-workers hope that their own children would realize the dreams of taking roots in cities. And the children of farm workers into urban life than their fathers have congenital and acquired advantages. Therefore, in addressing the children in the urban schooling seems to be necessary.
