The environmental education was brought out by the rethought of the relationship between the human and the nature. With the modern industrialized society coming, the modern industrialized culture not only make people enjoy the material that the life style never exists, but also bring people the concept that the nature is subside to the human and nature is reasonably existed as tools with which human can be satisfied for the human's needs. The results is that human is becoming the master of the nature denying the fact that the human was once the component of the nature. Neglecting the rules and the role of the nature, the nature gives human a hopeless future. With the emergence of the serious environmental problems, the deteriorated nature has made a very important influence on human's sustainable development. Environmental education is thought of the important solution and become prosperously developed in the world.The environmental education is on the developing level in our country, and show something different from other country's characters. Our country is multinational country, and environmental education of minority areas in west of china is also at the stage of primary development. Minority areas have vast territory, numerous population, they have very important and strategic significance to sustainable development of our country. If we neglect the development of the environmental education in these areas, the results is unimaginable.The gongshan xian locates in the sanjiang central area , and is one of the world's heritage of the nature and the culture. In the meantime, relatively close-down geographic circumstances shape the special traditional culture. This phenomena provides us a typical objects which can make us look into an classical case to observe what mechanism the environment education in this area can run smoothly. So, research of the gongshan's environment education have a value in guiding the depth research in gongshan's environment education, even in the west of the china's environment education.The conflict between traditional culture and modernized culture has also existed in the school. The phenomena is that the students' achievements are lower than that of the eastern districts schools' boys'. And the students' environmental consciousness level are not symmetry with the students' knowledge of the environmental education. On the other hand, the schools of gongshan did not pay attention on the environmental education is also the important factor which should not be denied.Firstly, the article brings forward abroad and domestic backgrounds of the environmental education, on this ground , trying to definite the term of "environmental education"; secondly, on the base of statistical analysis of the questionnaire, this article prefers to probe the middle school and primary schools' students' environmental consciousness, which concludes four aspects: the knowledge of environmental protection, the understanding level of environmental protection, the attitude of environmental protection and expect behavior of environmental protection. Thirdly, because of the phenomena of the students' lower achievement in the studying of environmental education, put forwards the hypothesis, and then approve it. At last, making suggestions and countermeasures to promote primary and middle schools' environmental education from the following aspects , environmental education teaching methods, curricular setting, training for teachers, evaluating system, environmental education stuff and so on.
