Gongshan Dulong And Nu Autonomous County In Yunnan Province Ethnic Relations

Ethic relationship is a kind of social relationship with the character of sociality as well as national traits, it is a relationship among different nationalities, in their developing history, their interaction and reciprocity shaped this relationship. The core issues in ethic relationship are national interests, national rights and national development. The three key challenge that we should pay a special attention to in the development of ethic relationship are how to strive for the national interests, how to guarantee the national rights and how to promote the national development.This paper takes a view of Marxist Ethnic Theory and Policy, using document survey and field research and national interests, national rights and national development as links, makes a comparative study on the ethic relationship in different periods in Gongshan Dulong, Nu Autonomous County.The main parts of this paper consist of introduction, chapter one, chapter two and chapter three.The introduction tells us the research significance, related research dynamics, research methods, innovation points and limitations of this paper.Chapter one makes a brief introduction about the geographical situations, the administrative systems and the religious situations in GongshanDulong, Nu Autonomous County, in order to give the readers a grasp of this place.Chapter two defines the concept of ethic relationship and explains that the core issues in ethic relationships include national interests, national rights and national development. The chapter then reviews the ethic relationships in this place before the third plenary session of the11th Central Committee of the Communist party. The conclusion of this chapter is the national interests, national rights and national development was not be guaranteed before the founding of new China; after that, the implement the regional national autonomy system in this place makes the nationalities be the masters for the first time, and their economy has achieved a rapid development, with the new ethic relationship to be built; in the Cultural Revolution, the ethnic relationships has been seriously damaged.The first quarter of chapter three reviews the achievements of ethnic relationships in Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County after the third plenary session of the11th Central Committee of the Communist party, and points out that the harmonious relationship between different nationalities is because the application of the party’s ethnic policies, the development of characteristic ethnic economy and the exploitation in minority culture. The second quarter of chapter three makes a brief analysis of the problems which influenced the ethic relationships in Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County and comes out some suggestions in the third quarter.Since Autonomous County has been set in Gongshan, under the leadership of the party and the state and50years hard work, ethnic relationships have been promoted greatly, and built the ethnic equality, unity, mutual assistance and cooperation relationships. In recent years, Gongshan Dulong, Nu Autonomous County is facing the challenges in development, the widening gap between the rich and poor enlargement, legislation lag, cadres quality is low, lack of the source of finance, religious problems and foreign culture infiltration, some may even hinder the further development of ethic relationship. Facing such problems, Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County should adjust measures to local conditions, develop competitive industries, reinforce legislative construction, promote legislation, improve the competencies of the cadres, adhere to the party’s religious policy and promote social and ethnical progress in order to guarantee the national interests, national rights and national development, and promote harmonious ethnic relations.
