Since 1950s, China's foreign aid has developed for almost sixties years. With the adjustment of diplomatic philosophy, Chinese foreign aid has made great achievements and gradually improved in the way of practices and experience. The early 21st century has witnessed the competition of overall national power among all the nations and meanwhile the major countries providing foreign aid, also including China, has changed their foreign assistance both in contents and channels against such background. With the guidance of"harmonious world"concept, Chinese foreign aid has experienced new changes both in principles and practices, with more focus on Win-win foreign aid and the promotion of soft power. So through UN development aid systems, World Bank and various regional organizations, China actively participates in Multinational development aid and increases its humanitarian aid and foreign assistance towards under-developed countries. Such changes reflect that China is working at enhancing its comprehensive national strength and building up its international status as a global responsible power.
