Modern society is now entering into the Internet Age. The internet has affected people's life in various and comprehensive ways. It has made citizen's political participation expand in greater scope and depth by providing new ecology environment and improving means and channels of citizen's political participation. Political participation is not only the key index of the stage of the political development, but also part and parcel of the democratic construction. Therefore, it has positive significance to guarantee citizen's political rights and benefit, as well as push forward the process of democracy by studying political participation issues in the Internet Age.This thesis attempts to begin with the analysis on the correlated theory of political participation, and then further analyzes the status quo and the development conditions of citizen's political participation on the basis of the characteristics of political participation in the Internet Age. In view of these issues, the author plans to apply the research methods of"ought to be"combined with"be"to discuss the status quo of citizen's political participation, which based on the scientific paradigm to analyze the citizen's political participation. Because the internet-mediated political participation belongs to dynamic research, it has certain difficulties in analyzing and grasping the latest material and phenomena about citizen's political participation. Based on my own understanding, this thesis which carries on the analysis about Chinese citizen's political participation in the Internet Age has certain innovative significance.
