As a matter of fact, China is a large agricultural country and the farmers constitute the majority of the nation. Its agricultural productivity is low and the rural areas are in long-term poverty and lagging behind. This basic national reality determines the road for china's modernization which is called Chinese-style agricultural modernization and the peasantry is the main force. From the founding of the People's Republic of China to 1978, Owing to the experiences and lessons of Soviet Socialist construction, facing the complicated domestic and external environment and according to the fundamental principles of Marxism, Mao Zedong led the party to unthread the Soviet model and in many aspects explored the social system suitable to Chinese situations. There are successful experiences and defeats during the procedure, which are valuable property for our party and are of great theoretical and practical significance in dealing with building a new socialist countryside, problems of agriculture, rural areas and farmers. The thesis mainly is divided into four parts:First part: the background and sources of the Communist Party of China's (CPC) theory for the rural construction. The complicated domestic and external environment; the Soviet model of industrialization; the basic principles of Marxism; the thought of cosmopolitism and west utopian socialism; the theory of the Rural Construction Movement.Second part: the history and the evolution of CPC's theory for the rural construction. The recover period of the national economy and the First Five-year Plan; The period of socialist construction; The period of the Culture Revolution.Third part: the characteristics of CPC's theory for the rural construction. The reforms of the land system and the liberation and development of the productive forces; The country in the server of the towns and the structure of urban and rural areas; The protection of the farmers' interestsForth part: the practice and effect of CPC's theory for the rural construction. The rural policy from 1949 to 1957 and the rural policy from 1958 to 1978; the scientific concept of development; the basic road for agricultural modernization of China; people oriented; the building of a new socialist countrysideFour parts are according to the sources of the theory,the development ,the feature and the effect, the article at the content and structure is interrelate,closely linked to form an organic whole,which seeks to present a more Systematic exposition about rural construction.
