Content: Senior One is one of the important stages between middle school and senior high education.However, due to the absence of communication among the teachers and students, some disjoints appear.Therefore, the effective link between them is the essential way to improve the teaching quality of chemistry in senior high school.Some research has been made on the present situation in these two periods of teaching in this paper. Some unsatisfatory phenomenon exist, such as, some teachers won't emphasize the joints and their teaching methods are out of date; some senior high teachers begin with kind of high starting point, with strong tempo and large pace, ignoring the practical situation among students, which causes many students to meet with unexpected difficulties,making them unable to adapt to the new study in senior high school.Aimed at solving the problems above, analysis have been made on the differences between the chemisty teaching in the middle school and senior high school. We can follow the four steps in four respects(teaching materials,curriculum, teachers and students):1.study the curriculum intensively. 2. update the teaching concepts and carry out the connection between the two stages by way of the class teaching . 3. strengthen the direction of learning methods. 4. enhance the communication between the teachers and students.From August of 2009, I carried out the experiment in my school according to the research above .After half a year's of practice, the students experimented on developed the interest in chemistry and improved their study as expected.In conclusion, how to make a good joint in chemistry teaching calls for the efforts not only from the teachers but also the students. Teachers should change the old teaching concept and regard the students as the subject in teaching, while on the other hand, the students should cooperate with the teachers actively and exert their subjective dynamic role. Only in this way can we complete the joint in chemistry teaching.
