Mathematics is an important part of human culture, mathematical literacy is the basic literacy every citizen in modern society should have. So we must pay attention to mathematics learning. How to learn mathematics is a topic we often talk, in the teaching process whether we can cultivate the students'self-learning ability is the key to success for the whole education. And the cultivation of self-study ability is undoubtedly first started from books, books are the important media student obtain knowledge. So teachig students studying methods, making students form good studyig habits, and especially the habit of reading mathematical extracurricular books are the keys and foundanation to cultivate students'self-study ability. What content ithe students can read in high school and what obstacles students will exist in reading mathmatical materials are the key what this paper will discuss,. we should know what obstacles the students can not overcome in the textbook, so that we can let students target to learn some content by themselves,acultivate the students' self-learning ability gradually.1,100 excellent teachers and 150 students of BaoDingShi YiXian are mainly as the research object in this this investigation and research, what obstacles of the textbook will affect students in teaching material's understanding. We test this through questionnaire, interview, math test.1. There exists barrier for Junior high school students in mathematics teaching material reading processr;2. The content of the concrete barriers are as follows:(1) Containing more mathematical symbols, and the symbols that is more abstract content;(2) Containing abstract formula contents, especially for the pure formula definition.(3) Contains professional term contents(4) Involves three languages transformation between content(5) Scattered knowledge and the contents requiring the students to induce and analyse(6) the feeling of space requirement is stronger, and the actual operation involving the contents of such drawing(7), Involving to the reality of a problem of mathematical knowledge abstraction contentOn the basis of junior middle school mathematics teaching material, I do a simple division (Relying on with geometric part) In hopes of all the later teaching help.
