Junior middle school is a pivotal stage when individuals develop themselves. During this period, what they develop, such as world view, values, methodology, will have a profound influence on their life. Individuals will benefit greatly from good habits and abilities they develop. Among the related abilities, the ability of self-management is one of the most important.In this article, I, based on my practical work experience, project junior middle school students' features and my own feelings in administration work; states the magnificence of self-management both in theory and in practice in school administration work.Then, based on the previous concepts in related research, I put forward my own concept. It is like this:based on the achievable aims set by the students themselves, in the course of management, connected with the concrete circumstances inside and outside school, using self and community as carriers, through consciousness(of active participation in class, school, social activities) and actions, which are done through sustainable cultivation, restriction, control, stimulation, I am aim to help the students to achieve their aims, realize self-potency, and promote individual development.Finally, connected with the investigation of middle school students' present situation and its analysis in Zhongshan District Dalian, I probe into the existing problems and their reasons in the course of self- management.I make suggestions and takes developing countermeasures. The positive suggestions are of much use for how to better the students'self-management in the new era.
