Art appreciation teaching,courses to guide students developing the aesthetic activities, bases on fine arts education and corresponds to the requirement of education for all-round development. Also, art appreciation teaching plays important role in developing the aesthetic and understanding ability, aesthetic accomplishment, molding their sentiments, improving creativity, imagination, and fully-developed personality of students.The standards of high school arts curriculum gives clear requirements for art education of high school. As main elements of the art classroom education, high school art appreciation has very important and practical significance. And art appreciation education will have significant effects for the development of aesthetic education and the construction of students ' aesthetic psychological.In the teaching practice, the education of art appreciation in high school exists some problems which can not be evaded. The most prominent one is the confusion in the selection of teaching mode, such as "teaching-accepting " type which are widely used, the "tutor dominating " type which ignores the main status of students and "excessive" type which has no restricts for students. In addition, according to the survey, art appreciation courses in high school have some other problems in textbooks, teachers and students themselves.The essence of art appreciation course is to cultivate aesthetic judgment of students. With the teaching of specific cases, the article analyzes how to implement interaction between teachers and students in classroom, how to interpret the textbook, how to develop students ' aesthetic interest and improve their aesthetics, and so on.According to the summary of teaching practice, four main views in art appreciation teaching are put forward for improving the students ' aesthetic ability: the first is the classroom interaction and creating a harmonious aesthetic environment; the second one focuses on characteristics of subjects and emphases on basic aesthetic knowledge; the third one puts up the appreciation of contrast to improve the ability of visual aesthetics; the forth one teaches the methods of appreciation and cultivates the ability of aesthetic appreciation.
