The research chooses school psychology cousultant as study object with the methed of behavioral event interview to explore the school psychology cousultant'competency characters,constructing the competency model of school cousultant ,which provides theory foundation for the certification, classification and evaluation of school cousultant.On this basis,this research proposes approaches of promoting school cousultant'competency.The object of this research is school psychology cousultant whose object are students ,which is different from social consultation.This research learns about the characters and behaviors of excllent school psychology cousultant'quarlities and skills during their interview.On the base of interviewing twenty school psychology cousultant ,this study distincts excellent cousultant from ordinary cousultant in their characters,and explors the internal stucture of school psychology cousultant in the method of factor analysis.Then the study constructs The Competence Model Of School Psychology Consultant and explained each items of the model.The preliminary conclusions of this research have followed:(1)There are significant differents between excellent school psychology cousultant and ordinary school cousultant in competency characters.(2) The competence model of school psychology consultant consists of the below 9 competencies :the organizations ability,good listening ability, the ability of communicating with students, respect of students, tolerance heart, responsibility, research capability, dedication, life experience.
