Google Earth is a section developed the virtual globe software by Google company, it takes the form of 3d Earth satellite photos, a large number of aerial photographs and simulated 3d images, users can be organized from a new point of view browsing the Earth. GE has a large variety of geographical information knowledge, convenient and practical in many fields. Geography teaching in middle school, a lot of the geography teacher began applied in teaching, and achieved good results.But at present, secondary school teachers on geography teaching in use GE, there are the following issues:First, just as "special will GE, in telling the map" use only when individual abstract geographic concepts apply, lack of purpose; Second, when in use GE teaching is more used to interpret the abstract to understand things and display the geographical result, the lack of systematic and purpose; Third, use GE teaching, GE operation of class teaching is becoming the key, ignore the contents of the course and geographical goal.In order to make GE better service, secondary geography teaching, aiming at these problems, the author thinks that should use constructivism thought to guide the GE use. Constructivism is behaviorism, cognitive theory in the developed on the basis of, claiming that student's learning process is actively constructing knowledge and ability training process; Knowledge of people essence is the subject of "structure" process, all the knowledge is main body own understanding activity, the main body of the results through their experience to construct their own understanding; The ideal learning environment, mainly including the circumstances, cooperation, communication and knowledge significance construction four aspects, knowledge significance construction is to be ultimately achieve, situation and assist, communication is all around for knowledge significance construction service; Teaching is to put the student existing knowledge and experience as the new knowledge, guide the students from the point of the original knowledge experience "growth" a new knowledge and experience, teaching is not knowledge of transmission, but knowledge processing and conversion.
